Who We Are

BayHelix is a business-focused non-profit organization for Chinese life sciences leaders, and the membership is by invitation only. As of May 2004, the organization has over 150 members distributed across 13 states of the United States, Canada and China. The group has been steadily growing since its inception in 2001.

BayHelix has attracted a group of talented and experienced Chinese life sciences business professionals, including corporate executives, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, management consultants, investment bankers, lawyers, and high caliber individuals in other life sciences-related areas. Approximately 20% of the members are “C-level” executives (CEO, CFO, COO, etc.). As of May 2004, approximate 30 BayHelix members are CEOs or Presidents of companies with operations spanning US and Greater China region.

Our membership base covers virtually all the top pharmaceutical companies, such as Pfizer, GSK and Merck as well as leading biotech companies such as Amgen, Genentech, and BiogenIDEC. We also have strong presence in the professional and finance service areas associated with the life science industry. All our members are bi-cultural and bilingual. Many of them have advanced degrees in science and business.
